Local true peak and clipping checker

Find clipping and inter-sample peak risk.

Check sample peak, estimate four-times oversampled true peak, and count clipped samples. The audio is analyzed entirely on your device.

Why true peak can be higher

A digital file can stay below 0 dBFS at every stored sample while reconstruction between samples produces a higher analogue peak. This is called an inter-sample peak.

Use it as a screening check

The dBTP figure is a browser-based four-times interpolation estimate, not a certified broadcast meter. Confirm critical deliveries with your mastering meter and the recipient's specification.
