Audio watermarking for music you need to trace.

Listening Copy can embed a different inaudible identifier in every recipient's listening copy. If that audio later appears where it should not, you can scan it and identify which delivered copy matched.

What a recipient watermark does

A normal private link controls access to one URL. A recipient watermark travels inside the audio itself. Listening Copy connects that embedded identifier to the recipient label you supplied, giving you a traceable delivery record without putting the recipient's name or email directly into the audio payload.

How it works

  2. Listening Copy prepares a unique copy.A keyed, recipient-specific identifier is embedded before delivery.
  3. Trace a suspect file.Upload the file to Trace; a valid match points back to the delivery record.

What it does not promise

A watermark is not DRM and cannot prevent someone from recording or copying audio. It is a best-effort tracing signal, not proof of identity or legal liability. Heavy processing—including time stretching, pitch shifting, re-recording or severe re-encoding—can damage or remove it. A trace result should be investigated alongside your delivery records and other evidence.

Watermarked output is a high-quality MP3 listening copy, not a replacement for a WAV or FLAC master. Use ordinary lossless delivery when the recipient needs production-ready files.

Technical transparency

Listening Copy uses the open-source audiowmark engine with a private deployment key. The engine stores a 128-bit message in the audio spectrum and can retrieve it without the original file. Listening Copy validates detected identifiers against its own delivery records to reject unrelated patterns.
