Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect and why. We are the data controller for account data. For audio and recipient details you upload, you are the controller and we are your processor, acting on your instructions.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email, hashed password, and settings.
• Content: audio you upload, and the recipient names, emails, and phone numbers you enter to deliver it.
• Delivery & access logs: when a link is opened, played, or downloaded, and coarse technical data (timestamp, approximate access info) used to power your delivery record and to keep the Service secure.
• Payment: handled by our payment provider; we receive billing status, never your full card details.
• Service diagnostics: limited page-view, device, performance, and error information on account and marketing pages. We do not run analytics on recipient listening links and do not use session recording.

How we use it

Only to run and improve the Service: to store and deliver your files, send the emails and texts you ask us to send, show you who accessed what, bill you, diagnose failures, understand aggregate use, prevent abuse, and provide support. We do not sell your data and we do not use your audio to train anything.

Who we share it with

Only the sub-processors that make the Service work: cloud storage and hosting, our email sender, our SMS sender, our database host, and our payment provider. Each processes data only to provide their part of the Service. Recipients you choose receive the files and messages you send them.

Retention

We keep content while your account is active. Deleted items sit in Trash briefly, then are removed. Some delivery and trace records may be retained after a file is deleted so that tracing and your history keep working, and as needed for security, billing, and legal obligations. Closing your account removes your content, subject to those limited retentions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/EEA GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal data, and you may object to certain processing. Email privacy@listeningcopy.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Security & transfers

We use reputable providers, encryption in transit, and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Data may be processed in the EU and other countries where our providers operate, under appropriate safeguards.

Cookies

We use only the strictly necessary cookies needed to keep you signed in and to run the Service. We do not use advertising cookies.
