Private audio metadata checker
Check an audio file without uploading it.
See format, codec, duration, sample rate, bit depth, bitrate, channels and embedded music metadata. Inspection happens locally on your device.
What stays private
The checker reads the selected file through browser APIs. It does not send the file, its filename or extracted metadata to Listening Copy. Closing or refreshing the page clears the result.
What it can read
WAV, AIFF and FLAC expose reliable technical headers. MP3 analysis reads the first valid MPEG frame and common ID3 tags. Browser support determines how much detail is available for AAC, M4A, Ogg and Opus.
Before delivery
A quick master-file check
- Confirm the sample rate and bit depth match the requested delivery specification.
- Check that mono, stereo or multichannel layout is intentional.
- Verify the title, artist and ISRC metadata where the receiving workflow expects it.
- Keep an uncompressed or lossless master even when sending a compressed listening copy.
