Silence, DC offset and channel balance
Catch quiet technical problems before delivery.
Measure head and tail silence, DC offset, channel balance and clipping without uploading the file.
Silence threshold
Head and tail readings use −60 dBFS as the boundary. Room tone or reverb above that level is treated as programme audio, not silence.
What to investigate
Unexpectedly long silence, a large DC value, obvious left-right imbalance or clipped samples can all indicate an export or edit worth checking.
